Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than Xiaomi Poco M3, getting a overall score of 93.3 against 78.2. Sony Xperia 1 III's body is just a little lighter and somewhat thinner than the Xiaomi Poco M3, although both of them were released only a couple of months apart. These devices have Android OS, but Sony Xperia 1 III has a newer 11 version while Xiaomi Poco M3 has Android 10 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
Xperia 1 III counts with just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has a greater amount of RAM. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have a same size screen, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a much better amount of pixels per display inch and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
The Sony Xperia 1 III captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a lot less megapixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor, a lot better 3840x2160 video definition and a bigger aperture for better captures and videos in low light environments.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Poco M3, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. The Xiaomi Poco M3 features greater battery performance than Xperia 1 III, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 4500mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Poco M3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Poco M3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Poco M3, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
