Both phones in this review have Android OS, but the Motorola Edge 40 Pro has 13 version and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Motorola Edge 40 Pro's body is notably newer and a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime's, although it's incredibly heavier.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has a much greater hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, although it has less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has a little bit worse pixels density, it also counts with a little higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a really larger screen.
Motorola Edge 40 Pro features a superior memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
