Galaxy S5 has a global score of 80.8, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime's global score of 71.7. The Galaxy S5 is an older phone than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, but it is a little thinner and a little bit lighter anyway. Both devices we are comparing work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S5 has an older 4.4.2 version and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Galaxy S5 features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Galaxy S5 also has a quite bigger screen and a greater pixels quantity in each screen inch. Galaxy S5 counts with as much memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, both have a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB and exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy S5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has 4 less CPU cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an extra graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy S5 features a better camera than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with more megapixels.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 4100mAh battery size instead of 2800mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, giving up some features and specifications.
