Galaxy S7 edge has a general score of 78.1, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime's 71.7 overall score. Galaxy S7 edge's design is somewhat thinner but a little heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and they were only released with a couple months difference. Both phones we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S7 edge has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (although they are slower). The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a little bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px, a bit higher quantity of pixels in each inch in the display and a bit larger display.
Galaxy S7 edge counts with a bit more storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy S7 edge also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 200 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime features just a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 14 percent greater battery size.
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has a less mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a much bigger camera aperture to take better captures and video in low light situations and a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
Although Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy S7 edge, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, giving up some features and specs.
