Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a general score of 90.9, which is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's global score of 75.8. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a a lot newer phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it's thicker and heavier.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little bit better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a better resolution of 1334 x 2772 pixels, a quite bigger display and a quite higher screen density. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory capacity.
