Xiaomi Black Shark is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, having a score of 80.4 against 75.8. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, we must highlight that it is also somewhat thicker and a bit heavier. Both phones we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Black Shark has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it gives you some nice extra features.
The Xiaomi Black Shark has a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Xiaomi Black Shark has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, a better pixels count per inch in the screen and a screen of the same size.
Xiaomi Black Shark counts with just a bit bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Xiaomi Black Shark have extremely similar batteries performance.
Xiaomi Black Shark counts with a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same resolution camera in the back, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has a way higher video resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and videos in low-light situations.
