The Galaxy XCover 5 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, with a 78.1 score against 74.4. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy XCover 5 has the older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. The Galaxy XCover 5 construction is way newer and just a little lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's, although it is also somewhat thicker.
Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a processing unit that is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 one, both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a quite larger display, a way better resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and a greater pixel number in each inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a very superior storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1 TB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has greater battery lifetime than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Galaxy XCover 5 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy XCover 5 also has a back facing camera with a lot higher 16 megapixels resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture to take better photos and video in low light environments.
