The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has a global score of 80.3, which is slightly better than Huawei Mate 20's general score of 79.5. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's design is a bit thinner and just a little lighter than Huawei Mate 20, even though both were released with only 3 months difference. The Huawei Mate 20 features a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. They have 8 cores and the same RAM amount.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a bit better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 2244 pixels resolution and a just a little inferior pixel count in each inch of display, it also counts with a bit larger display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 captures much better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 also has a way more megapixels back facing camera, better 120 frames per second video frame rates and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 features a much bigger storage for applications and games than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Huawei Mate 20's battery performance is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 one.
