The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a overall score of 87.1 against 74.6. Although it's the best phone in this review, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is an a little bit thicker and just a little heavier phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both devices in our current comparison include the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro features a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro also has 5 GB more RAM. Huawei Mate 30 Pro counts with a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a quite bigger display, a little more pixels per inch in the display and a slightly better 1176 x 2400 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 video quality and a worse resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a larger aperture to capture better low light images.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro features a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 30 Pro counts with a bit better battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
