OnePlus 9 Pro has a general score of 76.6, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. OnePlus 9 Pro's construction is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's, but it is just a little bit thicker and a bit heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS, but OnePlus 9 Pro has the newer 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10, so it provides you some extra features and performance optimizations.
OnePlus 9 Pro counts with a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 9 Pro also has 5 GB more RAM. OnePlus 9 Pro features a slightly better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a quite bigger screen, a higher resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels and a better count of pixels per inch in the screen.
OnePlus 9 Pro captures much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a 48 mega-pixels resolution camera and a same size aperture, the OnePlus 9 Pro also has a much better video quality and a way larger sensor. The OnePlus 9 Pro counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
OnePlus 9 Pro features a bit superior battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although OnePlus 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy OnePlus 9 Pro, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple specs and features.
