Comparison review
Galaxy M31s has a general score of 88, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's overall score of 74.6. Galaxy M31s is a newer phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it's somewhat thicker and a little heavier. Both devices in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy M31s has a newer 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, counting with a lot of extra features and performance tweaks.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and the Samsung Galaxy M31s feature quite similar displays, because although the Samsung Galaxy M31s has a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a bit bigger display and a slightly higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. Galaxy M31s features a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy M31s also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy M31s has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same aperture, the Galaxy M31s also has a lot better 64 MP resolution back facing camera and a larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Samsung Galaxy M31s has a very superior storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy M31s features a way better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.
