Comparison review
The Galaxy Note Edge has a general score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 score. The Galaxy Note Edge body has the same thickness than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it's just a little lighter. These phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note Edge has 5.0 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version.
Galaxy Note Edge features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a better pixel number in each inch of display. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has 4 less processing cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge also counts with a GPU.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's memory for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's one, both have a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB and exactly the same internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a larger camera aperture to take better low-light photography and videos, a lot larger camera sensor which provides a lot higher photo and video quality and a way higher 48 MP resolution camera in the back.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with longer battery life than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go a couple features and specs.
