Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ3 has a score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's overall score of 74.6. Despite being the best phone in this comparison review, the Sony Xperia XZ3 is an older, somewhat thicker and a little bit heavier phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. These phones come with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia XZ3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, providing you a couple nice extra features.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia XZ3 also has a larger amount of RAM. Sony Xperia XZ3 features a brighter display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a higher screen pixel density.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has improved battery performance than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a little bit better camera than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a larger camera sensor providing a better image quality and a larger camera aperture.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
