Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 has a score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's general score of 76.6. Despite of the fact that the Huawei Mate 20 is older than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's design is just a little thinner and just a little bit lighter. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations.
The Huawei Mate 20 has just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 20 also has more RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 features a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, although it has a little inferior pixels quantity in each inch in the screen and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels, they both have a screen with the same size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same video quality, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures and a back-facing camera with a lot better 48 mega-pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a little bit more memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features improved battery performance than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 5020mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go some features and specs.
