Comparison review
Galaxy Note 5 has a global score of 79.3, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's score of 76.6. These phones use Android OS, but Galaxy Note 5 has an older 5.1 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10. The Galaxy Note 5 is an much older cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but it's somewhat lighter and thinner anyway.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with 7 more cores (although they are slower). Galaxy Note 5 features a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution and a higher screen pixels density.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a camera with much more megapixels, a larger camera aperture for better low light photos and videos and a much bigger sensor which offers a much better image and video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a very superior storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 128 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Note 5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go some features and specs.
