The Moto Z2 Force Edition is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, having a general score of 77.4 against 72.1. Even though Moto Z2 Force Edition and Xiaomi Redmi Y1 were released with only 3 months difference, Moto Z2 Force Edition is incredibly thinner and a little bit lighter. Moto Z2 Force Edition features a lot better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have a same size display, the Moto Z2 Force Edition also has a way better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a way greater amount of pixels per inch in the display.
Moto Z2 Force Edition has a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Y1. Both of them have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM. Moto Z2 Force Edition features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, because although it has a worse 12 MP resolution camera, it also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a larger aperture.
The Moto Z2 Force Edition features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Moto Z2 Force Edition also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features just a little bit longer battery life than Moto Z2 Force Edition, because it has a 13% bigger battery size.
Although Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Y1. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, resigning some features and specs.
