AT&T Impulse 4G Review

AT&T Impulse 4G is a quite basic Android device released in September 2011, which counts with a 3.8-inches touch-screen, a CPU speeding at MHz and a 5 MP back side camera. Let's take a deeper look at what this cellphone can do.

This cellphone's thickness of 0.46 inches is a bit far from today's standards, but it still feels quite fine in the hand. AT&T appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.41 ounces cellphone.

AT&T equipped this phone with a good MHz CPU. This device counts with a poor 524,29 MB internal storage memory, which could be adequate for some users considering that the AT&T Impulse 4G also has a slot for SD memory cards to store pictures and videos and even some applications that can be installed in the external memory.

This cellphone is equipped with only a 5 mega-pixels back side camera. The AT&T Impulse 4G can also capture 1280x720 HD videos at 30 fps. In addition, this phone's camera also counts with flash and auto-focus.

AT&T packed this cellphone with a very good 3.8" display, and a resolution of 800 x 480 , which makes it hard to see the pixels composing the display. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This cellphone features wi-fi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem or router) and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone counts with a medium sized 1500 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is not really enough for a cellphone like this. According to AT&T, the AT&T Impulse 4G has a reported talk time of 4 hs and a stand by time of 240 hs.

The AT&T Impulse 4G also features some cool features as Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This phone costs around 280 dollars, not a good offer for comparing with similar phones.
