Gionee Elife E7 Review

Score: 60.7 / 100

Gionee Elife E7 is a pretty good Android cellphone, featuring an enormous 5.5" capacitive touch-screen, a high performance Quad-Core processor running at 2.2 gigahertz, a 16 MP back side camera and an 8 mega-pixels front side camera. That's everything we have to say? No, it's only the starting point.

Gionee ships this phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8974 chip, including a high speed 2200 megahertz Quad-Core processor with a large 3 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally uses a lot of processor time, so this phone counts with an additional 450 MHz Adreno 330 GPU to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. An excellent aspect of the Gionee Elife E7 is its 32 GB big internal memory and while it doesn't have an SD card slot, it it is more than enough to store lots of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without having to worry about how much memory is left.

The Gionee Elife E7 has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.37 inches. The Gionee Elife E7 just has 5.93 inches long, but it's able to fit a a 5.5 inches display. Gionee did a very nice job making this cellphone as lightweight as 5.29 ounces. This cellphone is for sale in many different colors, black, gray, orange, yellow, green, blue and red.

Gionee packed this cellphone with an amazing 5.5 inches screen, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD), which makes it impossible to even distinguish the pixels that compose the screen. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

The Gionee Elife E7 offers WiFi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot). The Gionee Elife E7 uses a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 16 megapixels back camera and an 8 MP front facing camera. It is also able to shoot videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps. This camera also includes a couple of useful features like flash, auto-focus and face detection shooting.

The Gionee Elife E7 also comes with a few nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone counts with a 2500 mAh amazing Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery that can keep it running for several hours without charging it. An issue to evaluate is that this cellphone's battery is non-replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to last shorter, although having 2500 mAh you will probably buy a new device before it becomes a real problem.

This phone is priced 249 dollars, which is not a good offer for comparing with other similar phones. No matter if you need a phone to play tons of games, will use it mostly for social networks and internet browsing or are looking for a work device, this device is probably very appropiate for you.
