Google Nexus S Review

Google Nexus S is a little outdated Android phone released in 2010, counting with a 4 inches multi-touch screen, a fast processing unit running at 1 gigahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.

Google equipped the Google Nexus S with a Samsung Exynos 3 system chip, packing a fast 1 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations often uses a lot of CPU time, so the Google Nexus S also also has a PowerVR SGX540 GPU running at 200 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. A good feature of the Google Nexus S is the 16 GB quite large internal memory and though it doesn't count with an external SD slot, it should be enough to install a couple hundred games and applications, although it probably wouldn't be enough if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available or taking tons of pictures and videos.

This cellphone feels a bit heavy for a phone of this size, weighting 4.55 ounces. The Google Nexus S is very thin and comfortable, while it's not so thin as many other phones in the market, with a thickness of 0.43".

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front side camera. It is also able to capture 720x480 videos at 30 fps. In addition, the camera features flash.

Google packed this cellphone with a interesting 4 inches display, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look colorful and brightful. This display uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone has Wi-Fi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) and the fastest 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone has a medium capacity 1500 mAh Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this device with a below average battery duration. According to Google, the Google Nexus S has a reported stand by time of 713 hs and a talk time of 14 hours.

This cellphone also includes a couple interesting characteristics as NFC, Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth phones, computers and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This cellphone costs around $ 249, a really high price for comparing with similar devices. It doesn't matter whether you want this phone for playing games or will use this phone mainly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely love this phone.
