HTC Incredible S Review

HTC Incredible S is a mid-to-low level Android phone released back in 2011, coming with a CPU clocking at 1000 MHz, a medium sized 4-inches screen, an 8 MP back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera. Let's take a better look at what this device can do.

Though the HTC Incredible S is very slim and comfortable it's not as slim as many other cellphones out there, with a thickness of 0.46 inches. HTC didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.78 ounces phone.

This device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip, including a powerful processor clocking at 1 GHz with 768 MB of RAM. Graphic intensive applications generally consume a lot of CPU cycles, so the HTC Incredible S also has an additional Adreno 205 graphics processing unit ticking at 245 MHz to unload the processor. The HTC Incredible S counts with a poor 1 GB internal storage, which could be adequate for basic users considering that it also has an SD card slot to store songs, pictures and videos and even some apps and games that allow external memory installation.

This cellphone has a good level 800 x 480 4-inches display, which makes it hard to see the pixels taking part of the display. This display uses S-LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone offers Wi-Fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem) and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

The HTC Incredible S has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front camera. The HTC Incredible S also captures videos in 1280x720 (HD). This phone also features auto-focus and flash.

This cellphone also comes with a couple nice features as Bluetooth (2.1), GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone features a 1450 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a not very long battery duration. This phone has a reported 9.7 hours talk time and a 290 hours stand by time according to HTC.

This phone is being sold for about 625 dollars, which is not a really offer for a cellphone this level.
