Huawei Ascend G620S Review

Huawei Ascend G620S is a very solid Android device, counting with a pretty big 5-inches display, a very powerful 64-bit Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.2 gigahertz, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera.

It appears that Huawei forgot about weight optimization in this 5.64 ounces phone. This cellphone is extremely thin and stilized, being just 0.33 inches thick. Even though this cellphone only has 5.63" long, it's able to fit a a 5 inches screen. Huawei made this cellphoneavailable just in 2 colors: black and white.

This phone has a very good 5-inches display with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes all images and movies look vivid. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Huawei decided to sell this phone with a high-tech 1200 MHz Quad-Core 64-bits CPU, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 system chip and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for such a good phone. Graphic calculations often uses lots of processing time, so it has an extra 450 MHz Adreno 306 graphic processing unit to help with that calculations. A good aspect of this cellphone is its 8 GB quite large internal storage memory and an SD extension slot, allowing the user to install hundreds of applications without any problem.

This cellphone offers wifi connection (which can be provided to other devices acting as a router or modem), LTE (4G) high speed connectivity and the fastest 3G connectivity, supported by HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a Micro SIM card for GSM carriers.

This phone has two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera. This cellphone also captures 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. The camera also features some nice characteristics like flash, face detection shooting, auto-focus and geo tagging.

This cellphone also features a couple cool characteristics like NFC, Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Huawei Ascend G620S has a 2000 mAh medium sized Li-Ion non-removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding device like this. A possible problem to take into account is that this cellphone's battery is non-replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to last shorter, leaving no choice but to buy a new cellphone or hopefully take it to someone who can disassemble the device and change its battery.

Huawei is offering this phone for 249 dollars, which is not a good offer for comparing with other similar phones. No matter whether you will use this phone majorly for social networks, need a phone for work, will use it as a gaming device or want it to take many pictures, this device is the right one .
