Huawei Ascend P1 Review

Huawei Ascend P1 is a quite good Android cellphone, equipped with a 4.3-inches capacitive display, a very fast Dual-Core processor clocking at 1.5 gigahertz, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera.

Huawei is offering this cellphone in 3 different color options, black, pink and white. This cellphone feels a bit heavy comparing to other cellphones , weighting 4.76 oz. Being just 0.39" thick,this phone is slim and practical.

This cellphone has a good looking 4.3" screen with a 960 x 540 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels forming the screen. This screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

Huawei decided to power this phone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip, packing an exceptional 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processing unit and only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit disappointing for a phone this good. Graphic rendering usually eats a lot of CPU time, so this phone also has an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit working at 400 megahertz to help with that calculations. The Huawei Ascend P1 comes with a moderate 4 GB internal storage, which is quite good having that it also has an SD extension slot .

The Huawei Ascend P1 has two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. It also films 1920x1080 Full HD videos. This device also includes a high number of useful characteristics: auto-focus, flash, fast burst mode, HDR mode, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

The Huawei Ascend P1 comes with a 2000 mAh medium Li-Ion battery, which is not really enough for a cellphone like this. Huawei informs a talk time of 8 hours and a stand by time of 400 hours for this cellphone.

This cellphone offers wi-fi connection (which can be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) great performance data connection and also HSPA+ data connection, which is a lower speed 4G type and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone also includes a couple nice features such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth phones and accessories) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Huawei is offering this device for $ 89, which is a rather high price for comparing with similar cellphones. This cellphone is definitely a great choice for you no matter if you need a work phone, will use this device to play tons of games or will use it mainly for internet broswing and social networks.
