Lenovo A850 Review

Score: 53.7 / 100

Lenovo A850 is a decent Android device, having a 5.5" display, an extremely fast 1300 MHz Quad-Core processor, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

Lenovo has made a very nice design job making this phone weight just 6.49 oz. Lenovo made this deviceavailable just in 2 color options, black and white. This cellphone only has 6.04 inches long and 3.12" wide, but it's able to fit a a 5.5" screen. Being just 0.37" thick, this phone is extremely slim and practical.

Lenovo equipped this phone with a nice 5.5-inches screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , giving this device an average image quality. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

Lenovo decided to build the Lenovo A850 using a high performance Quad-Core CPU clocking at 1.3 GHz, bundled in the MediaTek MT6582M chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit poor comparing with its great processing power. Graphic intensive games and applications generally eats a lot of processing time, so this cellphone counts with a 500 megahertz ARM Mali-400 GPU to help handle those graphic tasks. This phone has a fair 4 GB internal memory, which is adequate for most users considering it also has a slot for an SD memory card to store songs, pictures and videos.

The Lenovo A850 features two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. Additionally, the camera includes flash and auto-focus.

This device counts with a 2250 mAh great Li-Polymer replaceable battery providing this cellphone a quite long battery life. According to Lenovo, the Lenovo A850 has an estimated 490 hours stand by time and a 28 hs talk time.

The Lenovo A850 offers Wi-Fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) data connection, that is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone uses two SIM cards so it's able to use two different phone numbers or carriers at the same time.

The Lenovo A850 also comes with a few useful features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Lenovo sells this cellphone for 115 dollars, which is very expensive for comparing with similar cellphones.
