Lenovo A859 Review

Lenovo A859 is a mid-level phone, counting with a pretty large 5" multi touch screen, a very powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1.3 gigahertz, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.6 mega-pixels front side camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's just the introduction.

This device is equipped with a MediaTek 6582 chip, holding an exceptional 1300 MHz Quad-Core processing unit with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit poor comparing with this phone's impressive processing power. Helping with graphic rendering, this device also uses a 500 MHz ARM Mali-400 GPU. A nice feature of this phone is its 8 GB quite large internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card, allowing the user to store a couple hundred apps without any trouble.

This phone is incredibly thin and good-looking, being just 0.36" thick. Though this cellphone is only 5.59 inches long and 2.85 inches wide, it still manages to contain a 5" display. The Lenovo A859 isn't very light for a device of this size, with a weight of 5.76 oz. This phone is available only in white color.

Lenovo packed the Lenovo A859 with a interesting 5" display, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, providing this phone with a very good graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 1.6 megapixels front side camera. Additionally, the camera includes some useful features: flash, face detection shooting, auto-focus and geo tagging.

The Lenovo A859 features a big 2250 mAh Li-Polymer replaceable battery that can keep this device running for several hours, but you may need to charge it if you use it heavily. This phone has a reported talk time of 10 hours and a stand by time of 276 hours.

This phone counts with wifi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connectivity, which is not so fast as LTE networks and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This cellphone has dual sim cards so it's able to use two different phone lines.

This device also comes with a few cool characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Geolocation, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

Lenovo is offering this phone for 155 dollars, which is expensive for this type of device. If you will use this phone to play tons of games or will use it as a social cellphone, this cellphone is probably very appropiate for you.
