Lenovo S850 Review

Lenovo S850 is a nice Android phone released in 2014, packing a good size 5-inches capacitive screen, a high performance Quad-Core processor speeding at 1.3 gigahertz, and 2 cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 5 MP front side camera. We will get a better idea about this phone's characteristics when we get into more details.

This cellphone is much lighter than what one would expect from a device like this. The Lenovo S850 is for sale in 2 different colors, pink and white. The Lenovo S850 is quite a compact device, taking into consideration it packs a 5 inches display and it's just 5.5 inches long and 2.79 inches wide. This phone is just 0.32" thick, making its way into the thinnest phones podium. Regarding its materials quality, this phone is majorly created with Glass.

This cellphone is powered by a very fast 1.3 gigahertz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the MediaTek 6582 system chip and only 1 GB of RAM which is a bit poor comparing with its great CPU. Helping with graphic intensive games and apps, it also has a 500 megahertz ARM Mali-400 GPU. This cellphone has a 16 GB quite big internal storage and although it doesn't count with a slot for SD memory cards, it is enough to store hundreds of games and applications, but it may not be enough if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.

Lenovo designed this phone with a good looking 5" screen, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), providing this cellphone with a good graphic quality. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This phone offers wifi connection (which it can share with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), HSPA+ 4G connection type, that is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA and EDGE technologies. The Lenovo S850 comes with two Micro SIM cards so it's able to work with 2 different carriers or phone numbers at the same time.

This cellphone is equipped with two cameras, a 13 MP back facing camera and a 5 megapixels front camera. In addition, the camera counts with auto-focus and flash.

The Lenovo S850 features a good 2000 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery providing this cellphone with a not very long battery duration. This phone has a reported 13 hs talk time and a 336 hs stand by time. An important issue to take into account is that this phone's battery is not replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, making it necessary to replace the whole cellphone.

The Lenovo S850 also features some interesting characteristics as Bluetooth, GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Lenovo sells this cellphone for 165 dollars, which is a very high price for a cellphone this level. No matter if you will use it to play games or need a phone to mostly use social networks, you will probably love this cellphone.
