Lenovo Vibe X2 Review

Lenovo Vibe X2 is a high-level cellphone launched back in 2014, equipped with a comfortable 5 inches multi touch display, a Octa-Core processor (composed by a Quad-Core at 2000 megahertz and a Quad-Core clocking at 1700 MHz), and 2 cameras, a 13 megapixels back facing camera and a 5 mega-pixels front camera.

Lenovo has made a really good design job making this cellphone as lightweight as 4.23 ounces. Being just 0.29" thick,this cellphone is incredibly slim and practical. The Lenovo Vibe X2 is only 5.52 inches long, but it manages to hold a 5 inches display. Lenovo is offering this cellphone in multiple color options: gray, red, white and gold.

This device comes with a high-tech Octa-Core processor (as a matter of fact it's really a Quad-Core clocking at 2000 MHz and an additional Quad-Core speeding at 1700 MHz), included in a MediaTek MT6595M chip and a huge 2 GB RAM. The Lenovo Vibe X2 counts with a 32 GB large internal storage memory and although it doesn't include an external SD slot, it is still enough to store lots of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without even thinking about how much storage is left.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 is equipped with an amazing 5 inches screen with a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution, which makes it impossible to even see the pixels forming the screen. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 provides WiFi connection (which it can provide to other devices acting as a router), LTE (4G) fast internet connection and fast 3G internet connection, over HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Lenovo Vibe X2 uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone has two cameras, a 13 megapixels back camera and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera. This camera also includes some useful features: flash, auto-focus, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting and geo tagging.

This phone also features some useful characteristics as Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices and accessories), GPS Navigation and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone uses a great 2300 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery, which isn't too much for a device like this. According to Lenovo, this cellphone has a reported stand by time of 408 hs and a talk time of 22 hours. An issue to take into consideration is that the Lenovo Vibe X2's battery isn't replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it begins to get older, even though with its 2300 mAh you will probably buy a new device before that happens.

This device might not be so convinient considering it is sold for 165 dollars, and many similar phones are sold for a bit less than that. If you are looking for a work phone, are an amateur photographer, will use this device to play lots of games or want a social cellphone, you will probably be very pleased with it.
