Nokia Asha 501 is a quite basic phone launched back in 2013, packed with a 3.2 megapixels back-facing camera and a 3 inches multi touch screen.
This time, it seems like Nokia didn't care so much about the weight in this 3.46 ounces cellphone. Nokia made the Nokia Asha 501available just in a variety of colors, black, yellow, green, blue, red and white. This cellphone isn't a compact phone, taking into consideration it is 3.91" long and 2.28" wide,but it just contains a 3" display.
This phone has only a 3.2 megapixels back side camera. Its back side camera lens has a f/2.8 aperture so it struggles to take good photos in poorly lit environments. It is also able to shoot videos in QVGA 320x240 at 15 fps.
Its display uses LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.
This cellphone features a 1200 mAh small capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery, which is quite poor for a demanding cellphone like this. According to Nokia, this phone has a reported 17 hours talk time and a 624 hours stand by time.
The Nokia Asha 501 counts with Wi-Fi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a hotspot) and 3G connection type, supported by EDGE technologies. The Nokia Asha 501 comes with two Micro SIM cards to be able to to work with 2 different phone lines and even different carriers at the same time.
The Nokia Asha 501 also comes with Bluetooth (3.0), and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
