Plum Sync 4.0 Review

(X400) Score: 46.2 / 100

Plum Sync 4.0 is a not so powerful device, featuring a 4" multi touch screen, a very fast Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1300 megahertz, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera.

This device is available in lots of color variations like black, blue, red and white. The Plum Sync 4.0 is very slim and practical, being just 0.39 inches thick. This phone is much lighter than what one would think about a phone of this size.

Plum ships this phone with a high speed 1.3 GHz Dual-Core processor, packed into a MediaTek MT6572M chip with only 256 MB of RAM memory which is a little poor for a phone this good. Graphic calculations usually uses a lot of CPU time, so it also has an extra 500 MHz ARM Mali-400 GPU to take some work out of the CPU. The Plum Sync 4.0 comes with a poor 524,29 MB internal storage memory, which might be enough for some users considering that it also has an SD card slot to store photographs and videos and even some apps that can be installed in the external memory.

This cellphone is equipped with a good looking 4-inches display with a 854 x 480 resolution, providing this cellphone with a very nice graphical experience. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This cellphone includes wi-fi capability (and it can share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G connection type, using EDGE technologies. The Plum Sync 4.0 has two SIM cards to be able to to work with 2 different carriers or phone lines at the same time.

This cellphone has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. The Plum Sync 4.0 can also shoot videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. The camera also features a high number of amazing characteristics: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting, HDR mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

The Plum Sync 4.0 packs a poor 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides the Plum Sync 4.0 a below average battery lifecompared to other devices. This cellphone has a reported talk time of 14 hours and a stand by time of 760 hs according to Plum.

This device also includes a handful of cool features like Bluetooth (enables communication with other phones, computers and accessories), GPS Localization and FM Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone costs around 249 dollars, which is a very high price for comparing with similar phones.
