Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 is a mid-end phone released in February 2012, which counts with a 3 mega-pixels back camera, a medium 3.3" screen and a fast 800 MHz processing unit.
Samsung decided to power this phone using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A system chip, backed up by a powerful processing unit speeding at 800 MHz with 512 MB RAM. To handle graphic calculations, this device also uses an Adreno 200 (enhanced) GPU clocking at 200 megahertz. This device comes with a 4 GB internal storage memory, an average quantity that should be enough for the vast majority of users considering it also has an SD memory card expansion slot .
Samsung appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 3.77 ounces cellphone.
The Mini 2 only has a 3 mega-pixels back camera. It also captures VGA 640x480 videos at 25 fps. In addition, the camera features a couple of good features: smile detection shooting, fast burst mode and geo tagging.
Samsung designed this phone with a nice 3.3-inches screen, and a 480 x 320 resolution, which makes everything look quite nice. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
The Mini 2 features a medium 1300 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides this cellphone a quite short battery duration. This cellphone has an estimated 12 hs talk time and a 600 hours stand by time.
This cellphone includes Wi-Fi capability (and it can provide it to other devices as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Mini 2 works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.
The Mini 2 also features a couple interesting features such as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone is not a very good choice considering it is sold for 250 dollars, and some similar cellphones cost much less than that. If you want a phone to majorly use social networks and internet browsing, you will probably love this device.
