ZTE Open Review

ZTE Open is a modest Firefox cellphone, having a fast 1000 megahertz processor, a 3.2 megapixels back side camera and a medium 3.5-inches multi touch display. But it's time to get into a bit more detail.

The ZTE Open is a bit heavy for a cellphone of this size, weighting 4.23 oz.

ZTE decided to design the ZTE Open using a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A chip, including a powerful CPU speeding at 1000 megahertz and only 256 MB of RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally eats a lot of CPU cycles, so this device also counts with an Adreno 200 (enhanced) graphic processing unit running at 200 MHz to take some work out of the processor. This phone counts with a 524,29 MB internal memory, a poor amount that may be adequate for basic users considering this phone also has a slot for SD memory cards to store songs, photographs and videos.

This phone is equipped with only a 3.2 mega-pixels back side camera. It is also able to film 320x240 QVGA videos at 15 fps.

ZTE equipped this cellphone with a good 3.5 inches display, and a 480 x 320 resolution, providing this phone with an average graphical experience. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone counts with a small sized 1200 mAh replaceable battery providing this phone with a not very long battery duration. This device has an aproximate 4 hours talk time and a 240 hours stand by time.

The ZTE Open includes wi-fi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot). The ZTE Open works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone also features a few cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

The ZTE Open is priced $ 155, which is a very high price for this kind of cellphone.
