ZTE Savvy Review

ZTE Savvy is a mid level Android phone, counting with a fast Dual-Core processor ticking at 1 gigahertz, a 4 inches touch-screen and a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera. But let's get into some more detail.

The ZTE Savvy ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8625 chip, holding a powerful 1 GHz Dual-Core processor and 768 MB of RAM memory. Graphic rendering usually uses a lot of processor cycles, so this phone also has an Adreno 203 GPU working at 245 MHz to help handle those graphic tasks. This phone comes with a decent 4 GB internal storage, which is adequate for the average user knowing that this cellphone also has an external memory slot .

The ZTE Savvy is slim and practical, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.42". ZTE appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.43 ounces phone.

The ZTE Savvy includes a interesting 4" display with a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels composing the display.

This phone offers wi-fi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a router). This cellphone doesn't use a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks and it works with CDMA networks.

The ZTE Savvy has only a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera. This cellphone also has auto-focus and flash.

This cellphone uses a mid sized 1600 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is quite poor for a consuming cellphone like this. ZTE says this device has a stand by time of 288 hours and a talk time of 7 hs.

The ZTE Savvy also includes a couple of cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The ZTE Savvy is very overpriced considering it is offerred for 100 dollars, and many similar devices are a lot cheaper than that.
