IPad 2 has a global score of 62.1, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 score. IPad 2 is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, we must note that it's also way older, heavier and thicker. The iPad 2 comes with iOS 7.x OS, and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Amazon Fire HD 8 features a bit sharper display than iPad 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 800 x 1280 and a better screen pixels density.
IPad 2 has a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage. The Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a little faster processor than Apple iPad 2, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Apple iPad 2 counts with a way better battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8. IPad 2 counts with a better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a lot lower 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a camera with way less mega-pixels resolution.
