The iPad mini is way better than Amazon Fire HD 8, having a 68.1 score against 54.1. The iPad mini design is a bit thinner but a little bit heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8. The iPad mini comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Amazon Fire HD 8 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with just a little better performance than Apple iPad mini, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and more RAM.
The iPad mini counts with a little more vivid display than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a little less pixels per inch in the screen, a quite lower 768 x 1024 pixels resolution and a little smaller display. Apple iPad mini has a greater memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage.
The iPad mini shoots way better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8. They have the same video frame rates, a same resolution back facing camera and the same video quality. IPad mini has a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8.
