The iPad mini has a global score of 68.1, which is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's score of 60.8. IPad mini counts with iOS 8.x operating system, and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with Android 4.2.2 operating system. The iPad mini is a somewhat thinner but just a little bit heavier portable tablet than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has an incredibly better looking screen than Apple iPad mini, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a way better screen density. The iPad mini counts with as much storage capacity to store more games and applications as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, both of them have exactly the same internal storage.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a better performing processing unit than iPad mini, because it has a larger number of cores, a faster graphics processing unit and more RAM memory. The iPad mini features a superior battery performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The iPad mini takes much better photographs and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Although iPad mini is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy iPad mini, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, giving up some specifications.
