Comparison review
The iPad 2 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), getting a score of 62.1 against 61.4. IPad 2 has iOS 7.x operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) works with Android 4.1 operating system. Even though the iPad 2 is older and just a little heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), it's construction is still somewhat thinner.
Apple iPad 2 has a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 2 CPU cores, the Apple iPad 2 also counts with an extra graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a bit sharper screen than Apple iPad 2, because it has a just a little more pixels per inch in the display, a little bit bigger screen and a slightly better 800 x 1280 resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features just a bit better camera than iPad 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a much more MP camera. The Apple iPad 2 counts with a much better storage for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than iPad 2, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.
Although Apple iPad 2 is a better device, it is more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). If you want to save some dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
