Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a global score of 64.8, which is a little bit better than the iPad 2's score of 62.1. Galaxy Tab 7.7's body is way lighter and just a bit thinner than the iPad 2, although both were released with only 6 months difference. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with Android 4.0.4 OS, and iPad 2 has iOS 7.x OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a bit better processing power than Apple iPad 2, because although it has a weaker 320 MHz graphics processor, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with more RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a sharper display than Apple iPad 2, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixels density and a quite better 800 x 1280 resolution.
The iPad 2 takes clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7, although it has a much less megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a lower video quality. Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a better memory capacity to install games and applications than iPad 2, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 32 GB.
IPad 2 features improved battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a 6944mAh battery size against 5100mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs more money than the iPad 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPad 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the iPad 2, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
