The Apple iPad Air has an overall score of 77.7, which is way better than the iPad 3's score of 64.7. Both tablets in this comparison review use iOS OS (operating system), but the Apple iPad Air has a newer 8.x version while iPad 3 has iOS 7.x, so it provides the user some extra features and improved performance. The Apple iPad Air is a newer tablet, and it's also extremely lighter and somewhat thinner than the iPad 3.
IPad Air features a bit better looking screen than iPad 3. Both of them have the same screen pixels density, an equal resolution of 1536 x 2048 and a screen of the same size. Apple iPad Air features much more memory capacity to install games and applications than iPad 3, because it has more internal memory.
