The iPad Air has an overall score of 77.7, which is a bit better than the iPad 4's global score of 70.8. These tablets have iOS OS (operating system), but the iPad Air has the newer 8.x version while iPad 4 has iOS 7.x version, so it gives you some additional features. The iPad Air design is somewhat thinner and lighter than the iPad 4.
Apple iPad Air has a bit better CPU than iPad 4, and although they both have 2 processing cores and 1 GB of RAM, the Apple iPad Air also has a 64-bit CPU and a much better GPU. IPad Air counts with just a bit better display than Apple iPad 4. They have a display of the same size, a better pixels amount in each inch of screen and exactly the same 1536 x 2048 resolution.
The Apple iPad Air and iPad 4 both feature very similar memory capacity for applications and games, they have the same internal storage. The Apple iPad Air counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Apple iPad 4.
