Apple iPad 4 Review

Apple iPad 4 is a very powerful tablet, which counts with an extremely fast 1.4 GHz Dual-Core CPU, a huge 9.7-inches multi-touch screen, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front facing camera.

Apple decided to equip this tablet device with an extremely powerful Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.4 gigahertz, bundled in an Apple A6X chip with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing for such a solid tablet. To handle graphic calculations, it also counts with a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX554 graphic processing unit. A great aspect of this device is its astonishing 128 GB internal memory and whereas it doesn't count with a slot for an external memory card, it is still enough to install tons of applications, games, pictures and videos without worrying about filling it.

This device just has 9.5" long, but it's able to fit a a 9.7 inches screen. The iPad 4 is just 0.37 inches thick, making it one of the thinnest portable tablets currently available. Apple is offering this tablet in 2 color options, black and white. Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 23.35 ounces portable tablet.

The Apple iPad 4 is equipped with a good level 1536 x 2048 9.7" display, making everything look very good. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This tablet features two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 1.2 megapixels front side camera. It is also able to shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera features a few useful characteristics like digital image stabilization, auto-focus, geo tagging and face detection shooting.

This tablet includes WiFi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed internet connection and also HSPA+ connection type, that is a slower 4G variation and 3G fast connectivity, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The iPad 4 uses a Micro SIM card for GSM connection and it can connect using both GSM and CDMA.

This tablet also features a few nice characteristics such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other tablets and accessories) and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
