The Apple iPad Air has an overall score of 77.9, which is way better than the iPad 2's 62.1 global score. Both devices in this comparison come with iOS OS, but Apple iPad Air has 8.x version and iPad 2 has iOS 7.x version. Apple iPad Air is a a lot newer tablet device, and it is also somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter than the iPad 2.
Apple iPad Air has a lot better screen than iPad 2, and although they both have a same size screen, the Apple iPad Air also has a much better screen pixel density and a lot higher 1536 x 2048 resolution. The iPad Air features a way bigger memory for applications and games than iPad 2, because it has 128 GB internal memory.
IPad Air counts with a superior processing power than iPad 2, and although they both have 2 processing cores, the iPad Air also has a much better GPU running at 600 megahertz, a 64-bit processor and a larger amount of RAM. IPad Air has superior battery performance than iPad 2, because it has an 8820mAh battery size.
The iPad Air captures much clearer photos and videos than iPad 2, and although they both have a F2.4 aperture, the iPad Air also has a lot more megapixels back camera and a much better (Full HD) video quality.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, the Apple iPad Air is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, making this tablet a great choice.
