IPad 2 has a global score of 62.1, which is much better than the Asus VivoTab 8's score of 55.6. The iPad 2 is a incredibly heavier but a little thinner tablet than the Asus VivoTab 8. The iPad 2 counts with iOS 7.x OS, while Asus VivoTab 8 has Windows 8.1 OS. Asus VivoTab 8 has a much better looking display than iPad 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel count per inch of screen and a bit higher resolution of 1280 x 800.
Asus VivoTab 8 counts with a bit better processing power than iPad 2, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and 1,5 GB more RAM memory. IPad 2 counts with a superior camera than Asus VivoTab 8, although it has a much less mega pixels camera in the back.
IPad 2 has slightly more storage to store more games and applications than Asus VivoTab 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. The Apple iPad 2 features a much better battery duration than Asus VivoTab 8.
Although Apple iPad 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Asus VivoTab 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus VivoTab 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPad 2, else you can save some money and buy the Asus VivoTab 8, giving up some specifications.
