IPad mini is a lot better than Asus VivoTab 8, getting a overall score of 68.1 against 55.6. IPad mini is a a little lighter and thinner portable tablet than Asus VivoTab 8. The iPad mini works with iOS 8.x operating system, and Asus VivoTab 8 counts with Windows 8.1 operating system. The Asus VivoTab 8 features a little better performance than Apple iPad mini, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1,5 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores.
Asus VivoTab 8 counts with just a bit better screen than Apple iPad mini, because it has a little bit larger display, a quite higher display density and a little higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. IPad mini features a slightly bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Asus VivoTab 8, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory.
The iPad mini takes way better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels. Apple iPad mini has a much better battery life than Asus VivoTab 8.
Apple iPad mini costs a little more than the Asus VivoTab 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
