Comparison review
IPad 2 has a general score of 62.1, which is better than the BlackBerry PlayBook's global score of 54.2. The iPad 2 body is notably heavier but thinner than BlackBerry PlayBook, and both were only released 5 months apart. IPad 2 works with iOS 7.x operating system, and BlackBerry PlayBook has BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system.
The iPad 2's processing unit is just as good as BlackBerry PlayBook's CPU, and although the iPad 2 has lesser RAM and a weaker graphics co-processor running at 400 MHz, they both have 2 cpu cores. BlackBerry PlayBook has just a bit better looking display than iPad 2, because although it has a much smaller screen and a little bit lower resolution of 600 x 1024, it also counts with a better pixels amount in each inch of display.
The BlackBerry PlayBook captures better pictures and videos than iPad 2, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video definition and a much more mega-pixels back camera. The iPad 2 has as much memory for applications, games, photos and videos as BlackBerry PlayBook, both of them have exactly the same internal storage.
The Apple iPad 2 counts with a really longer battery performance than BlackBerry PlayBook.
Although Apple iPad 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the BlackBerry PlayBook, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as BlackBerry PlayBook. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPad 2, else you can save some money and buy the BlackBerry PlayBook, letting go some features and specifications.
