The iPad Air is a bit better than Galaxy Tab S8, getting a general score of 77.9 against 76.7. Although the iPad Air is older and thicker than the Galaxy Tab S8, it's body is still just a bit lighter. The iPad Air comes with iOS 8.x OS, while Galaxy Tab S8 has Android 13 OS. The Apple iPad Air counts with a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, although it has a little bit lower 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, a little smaller screen and a just a bit lower screen pixels density.
The Apple iPad Air features a very superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, because although it has 7 GB lesser RAM memory and lesser CPU cores , it also counts with a 64-bits processor and an additional graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 counts with a way bigger storage to store more apps and games than iPad Air, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1 TB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPad Air, because it has a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a camera in the back with much more megapixels. IPad Air counts with a little longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, because it has a 10% larger battery capacity.
Despite of being the best tablet in this comparison, iPad Air is also by far the cheapest, which makes this tablet an obvious call.
