Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 is a decent Android tablet launched back in the year 2013, equipped with a good size 7 inches capacitive screen, a great 1000 MHz CPU and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. That's everything we have to say? No, it's just the introduction of this in-depth review.
Apparently Alcatel didn't care about the weight in this 12.35 ounces tablet. This tablet is a compact portable tablet, given that it features a 7" display and it is only 7.59" long and 4.76 inches wide. This tablet is thin, being just 0.37 inches thick.
This tablet is powered by a Rockchip RK2928 system chip, including a very powerful 1000 MHz processor with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for a device of this level. Graphic calculations generally eats a lot of processing time, so this tablet also has an extra 266 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP4 graphic processing unit to improve overall performance. The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 has a 4 GB internal storage, a reasonable quantity that should be adequate for most users considering that this device also has an external SD slot to store photos and videos.
The Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7 only features a 0.3 MP front-facing camera.
Alcatel designed this device with a interesting 7-inches display, and a resolution of 600 x 1024 , which makes everything look quite good. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This tablet comes with an inmense 3240 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep this device running for many hours without charging it at all. An issue to consider is that the Alcatel OneTouch Tab 7's battery is non-replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins losing capacity, even though with its 3240 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before it becomes a real problem.
This tablet offers Wi-Fi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot). This device doesn't have a SIM card, because it is not a GSM enabled tablet device.
This tablet also features Bluetooth (2.0), and Accelerometer.
This device costs around 249 dollars, which is a really high price for a tablet this level.
