Dell Venue 8 Pro Review

Dell Venue 8 Pro is a bit outdated tablet, with a big 8-inches multi-touch display, a very fast 1.8 GHz Quad-Core CPU, a 5 MP back camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. Let's take a deeper view of what this portable tablet offers to us.

Dell ships this tablet with a great 1.8 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, packed into the Intel Atom Bay Trail-T chip and a large 2 GB RAM. A key advantage of this device is its 32 GB large internal memory and an SD card slot, enough to install hundreds of apps without even thinking about how much storage is left.

Dell made this tabletavailable just in black and red. This device is thin, being just 0.35" thick. Whereas this tablet is only 8.5 inches long, it still manages to pack a 8 inches screen. Dell appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 13.9 ounces tablet.

This tablet has a good level 800 x 1280 8" screen, providing this device with a nice graphic quality.

This tablet counts with wi-fi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro features two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front side camera. In addition, the camera has auto-focus.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro uses amassive 4830 mAh non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Dell Venue 8 Pro with an incredible battery duration. An issue to consider is that the Dell Venue 8 Pro's battery is not removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, whereas with such a huge battery size you will probably buy a new tablet before that becomes an issue.

Dell offers the Dell Venue 8 Pro for 1195 dollars, which is very expensive for this kind of tablet. No matter if you are looking for a device for work, will use this portable tablet mostly for social networks and internet browsing or will use it for playing games, you will definitely be very happy with it.
