IPhone 12 has a global score of 88.7, which is much better than Huawei P20's 78.1 overall score. The iPhone 12 has iOS 15.x operating system, while Huawei P20 works with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. IPhone 12's construction is way newer, just a bit thinner and just a little lighter than Huawei P20.
IPhone 12 has a sharper screen than Huawei P20, because it has a little higher resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, a little bigger display and a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display. Huawei P20 has a very superior storage to store more apps and games than iPhone 12, because it has 64 GB more internal storage.
IPhone 12 has a better CPU than Huawei P20, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the iPhone 12 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit. The Huawei P20 counts with improved battery life than Apple iPhone 12, because it has a 3400mAh battery capacity.
Huawei P20's camera is just as good as the camera in iPhone 12, and although the Huawei P20 has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting images or videos in low light situations and slower 30 fps video frame rates, they both have a same resolution back-facing camera and the same (4K) video resolution.
Although iPhone 12 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P20. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPhone 12, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei P20, letting go some features and specs.
