IPhone 8 has an overall score of 85, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 20's 79.5 general score. The iPhone 8 is an older device than Huawei Mate 20, but it is somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter anyway. IPhone 8 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has 2 GB less RAM memory and 2 less and slower processing cores, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU.
The Huawei Mate 20 features a bit sharper screen than iPhone 8, because it has a bit higher number of pixels in each inch of screen, more screen brightness, a much larger screen and a much better 1080 x 2244px resolution. IPhone 8 has a way bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because it has 128 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 features a superior battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a 120% more battery size. Apple iPhone 8 features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a lot smaller sensor shooting way worse quality photographs and videos, and they both have a 12 mega pixels back-facing camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Apple iPhone 8 also counts with faster 60 fps video frame rate.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei Mate 20, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei Mate 20. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the iPhone 8, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei Mate 20, resigning a couple features and specs.
