Apple iPhone 8 has a global score of 85, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro's 78.7 score. The Apple iPhone 8 is a a little thinner and lighter cellphone than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, even when they were released with only 8 months difference. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little more vivid screen than iPhone 8, because it has a bigger screen, a way better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a way better pixels density.
Apple iPhone 8 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has lesser and slower cores and 4 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit. IPhone 8 features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a very superior battery lifetime than iPhone 8, because it has a 120 percent more battery size. The iPhone 8 captures clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor which gives a worse photo and video quality, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels and the same (4K) video definition, the iPhone 8 also counts with higher 60 fps video frame rates and a larger aperture to take better low-light photos and videos.
The iPhone 8 costs a little more than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
