Comparison review
IPhone 8 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, getting a score of 85 against 78.1. Even though iPhone 8 is a little bit heavier than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, it's a little bit thinner and also notably newer. Apple iPhone 8 features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Apple iPhone 8 also counts with more CPU cores and a 64-bits processor.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a much better looking screen than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a much better resolution of 1920 x 1080px, a little bit larger display and a higher pixel density. IPhone 8 captures slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a camera in the back with lot less mega-pixels, a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking less light and washed colors, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and video.
Apple iPhone 8 counts with much more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a much better battery life than iPhone 8, because it has a 54% bigger battery capacity.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
